Error: Permission Denied - when running a Custom Report more than once

When running their custom reports more than once, some users may receive the error "Permisison Denied" with some of their reports. 
Follow the steps in KB Article 54889.

If you are still receiving this error after completing the steps in KB Article 54889, please contact Support with the following information: 
  • If you recreate the export used in the custom report, do you still receive the error?
  • If you recreate the the .rpt file used in the custom report, do you still receive the error?
  • If you use a .rpt file from an unaffected custom report with the affected custom report, do you still receive the error?
In the meantime, the following steps will allow users to run the report:
  1. Click OK to the error 
  2. Close the report
  3. Click File>Exit and Sign Out
  4. Log back into RE
Blackbaud has reviewed the message and determined this is not a defect in the software and will not be addressed in the program in its current state. Implementing code changes to remove this message may introduce high risk behavior that outweigh the potential benefit of resolving this message.

Steps to Duplicate

 
  1. Navigate to Reports> Custom Reports
  2. Double-click on the custom report
  3. Click Preview
  4. Notice the report generates
  5. Close out of the report preview
  6. Click Preview
  7. Error appears
  8. Click File>Exit and Sign Out in RE
  9. Log back into RE
  10. Repeat steps 1-4
  11. Report successfully runs
