Users are not being registered for online web forms at the time of a purchase

When selecting to register for web forms at the time of purchase, the constituent is not registered for the web forms. You will see that a constituent record is added to the database and the sales order is associated with that record, but the online info tab is not added.

Patrons who are registering during the checkout process in the Altru webform, may not be able to go back and sign in afterwards. They may receive an error message that they do not have the correct login credentials. The patrons may have to re-register in order for it to complete. There is also no record of the user registration in their constituent account. 
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Alternative Solution: 
Register for web forms using the registration link then return to purchase items. 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Navigate to a web form > Add an item to the cart
  2. Enter the payer information > Check the box to register for web forms
  3. Enter a password and confirm the password
  4. Select check out
  5. Add a payment > Complete Sales
  6. Navigate to the constituent record > see that an online info tab is not added
