When adding a Purpose and Designation and attempting to map a composite segment under Fundraising > Add purpose and designation. On the Add Purpose and Designation page under the map to general ledger tab, the Purpose Category value is not properly populated and causes the loading message to display – and the screen hangs at this point. Meaning the Purpose and Designation has not been added, and the mapping has not been completed.
We're currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future e patch or service pack.
Steps to Duplicate
Steps to duplicate:
1. GL Setup
• Within the GL account structure setup, add a composite mapping. Under administration > general ledger setup > composite > define account structure • Set the composite mapping to use Designation + Purpose Category as the calculated fields. • Add and account structure that uses the Composite Segment. • Complete other GL setup, including adding a GL Account to be used.
2. Add Purpose/Designation
• Add a new Purpose and Designation. Fundraising > Add purpose and designation. • Enter Purpose information. • Enter Designation information. • On the Map to general ledger tab
o Select the Project segment mapping (not a composite segment, all maps ok) o Select the Activity segment mapping (not a composite segment, all maps ok) o Attempt to add a Responsibility mapping (the composite mapping)
Enter a name. i.e. Test - All OK Search and select a Segment value for Designation – All OK Click the Purpose Category drop down. Only < not used> Is displayed. Press Tab or click on another area or tab, and the Loading message is displayed, and the screen hangs at this stage.
• The user must refresh the browser or close and reopen the browser. After refresh, the Purpose and Designation has not been added.
