When using the 'Add this data to RE' function in Email performance statistics with Email marketing in Online Express, records not contained in the Email List may be updated with the Appeal showing the email information. This could occur if the record has the same email address as a record that is contained in the Email List.
We have evaluated this issue as a potential defect and we have determined it will notbe addressed in the software in its current state. In this case, the risks and challenges outweigh the potential benefit of resolving this issue.
We wish we could address each and every issue that we come across, but there are occasions when addressing certain issues would add risk to causing a bigger problem or would put other prioritized initiatives at risk.

Steps to Duplicate
In The Raiser’s Edge create two Constituent records with the same email address.
Created a Constituent query and set the criteria to pick up one of the above records.
In Online Express created a new Managed List list and used the above query to populate. Confirm the list shows one email address.
Create an email in Online Express and used the above Managed List to send the email.
Email Statistics show the email is sent to 1 recipient only.
In Online Express used the option to ‘Add this data to RE’ from the Email performance screen and notice the Appeal was added to two records.
Go to both records an on the Appeal tab, the email details have been added.
