File name too long error when copying Communications template

When we click Copy under a Communications template we receive a long error that says "Sorry, we were unable to perform the action you requested." and includes a long file name.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

To avoid running into this error, we will want to only make copies from a master template rather than creating copies of copies.

For templates where we do see this error, we will want to remove the social media thumbnail image:
  1. Click Communications
  2. Click Manage Communications
  3. Click on the category where the template is stored
  4. Click on the name of the template
  5. Click Step 1 Settings
  6. Under Advanced Mass Email Options, click Remove below the sharing links
  7. Click Save and Finish

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Click Communications
  2. Click Manage Communications
  3. Click on the category where the template is stored
  4. Under the template name, click Copy
  5. Select a category and fill in the name
  6. Click Copy
