Unable to save Registration Date on an event participant record

Users would like to track the registration date on a event participants record. When the registration option Do not register is selected there is no option to select a date.

We have evaluated this issue as a bug and we have determined it will not be addressed in the program in its current state.  In this case, we believe the risks and challenges outweigh the potential benefit of resolving this issue. We strive to select the most impactful changes and issues to address with each release to accelerate the rate at which we deliver new features while sustaining the highest level of quality for our customers.

Steps to Duplicate

1. Navigate to a Raiser's Edge event record and open any participant record
2. On the General tab update the Registration table to Do not register
3. The date option is no longer available, selecting another status and adding a date and toggling back to Do not register allows users to Save but the date is not retained when the record is opened again
