When trying to generating the Absence Analysis Summary - By Level report for a specified date range, the report shows no results.
If the start date or the end date selected in the report filter falls on a day the is in-between school years (ex: 2016-2017 school year starts on 8/1/16, but the 2015-2016 school year ends on 7/30/16 leaving 7/31/16 in-between school years) the report is unable to set a reference point for the date range and will be unable to pull in any information.
To fix this, all you need to do is change either the begin date or end date that falls in-between the school years to the actual begin or end date of the school year and re-generate the report and the information will now properly pull in.
Steps to Duplicate
Go to Analyze > Reports from any persona
Choose the Attendance Management report category
Click Run on the Absence Analysis Summary - By Level report
Set your date range and filters for Group Type, School Level, and Excuse Categories
