Error: The prospect manager's start date must be on or after the end date of the previous prospect manager - when assigning prospects in bulk

When assigning prospects in bulk to a new prospect manager, you may receive an error: The prospect manager's start date must be on or after the end date of the previous prospect manager 
Verify the prospect manager's end dates and do not overlap the start date:
  1. Click Prospects, then click Fundraiser Search. Search for and select the old prospect manager.
  2. On the Fundraiser tab of their constituent record, go to the Prospects and Plans tab.
  3. Under the Prospect assignments, click on the green downward arrows next to each prospect.
  4. Click Edit, and change the end date to an earlier date that is before the new date for new manager to start.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Repeat for each prospect that prospect manager owns.
Verify the record has a start date, since this is a required field: 
 
  1. Open Prospect Manager's constituent record
  2. Click Fundraiser tab > Click Prospects and Plans subtab
  3. Click the arrow for the prospects record 
  4. Click Edit
  5. Enter a start date if there is not one
