As a consultant for multiple organizations, why do I see Recently Viewed accounts from another database?

If you are a consultant that works with multiple organizations that use eTapestry, you may need to log into multiple databases on a daily basis. Upon logging in, you may see Recently Viewed accounts from a different database. However, these accounts are not accessible when you click the name.
It is not recommended to sign into multiple databases in the same browser. You must log out of one database before logging into another, or use a different browser. For example, if you're using Firefox to log into Organization A's database but do not want to log out, you could log into Organization B's database using Chrome instead. This will also help make sure you do not inadvertently mix up the databases when working in both of them at the same time.

Steps to Duplicate

Important note: These steps are not a recommended way to use eTapestry.
  1. Log into the first database
  2. Search for and click on an account
  3. Without logging out, open a second tab in your browser and log into the second database
  4. Click Accounts
  5. See the account in the Recently Viewed
  6. Click on the account
  7. We get an error because that account is in the other database, not this one
