Error: Data could not be saved. The INSERT statement conflicted with the CHECK constraint "CK_RECURRINGGIFTAMENDMENT_DIRECTDEBITANDOTHER". The conflict occurred in database "xxx", table "dbo.RECURRINGGIFTAMENDMENT"- when adding a payment

When adding a membership for a Recurring membership program with a payment method of OTHER, you may receive the following error:
Error: Data could not be saved. The INSERT statement conflicted with the CHECK constraint "CK_RECURRINGGIFTAMENDMENT_DIRECTDEBITANDOTHER". The conflict occurred in database "XXXXX", table "dbo.RECURRINGGIFTAMENDMENT".
Remove the text in the reference line from the Add a Payment screen to sell the membership. This can be added back later. 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Go to Memberships > add a membership
  2. Under Who is paying for this? Enter in constituent not a member of a membership program 
  3. Under What are they paying for? Make sure Add a membership is selected .Enter your membership program, level and term 
  4. Under How are they paying? Select Other as a payment method, then select your Other method

  1. Enter a reference number (any will do)
  2. Enter a reference date: Any date
  3. Reference: anything in this field

  1. Enter any other relevant information and click Save.
