Batch Errors Caused By Auto-Selected Update Household Checkbox and Fields

Unable to make the “Update household” checkbox not be auto-selected in a CUB which causes Batch errors for Spouses who share the same Home email address. This occurs for all types of contact information including updates to household address, email and phone information.
We are currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future service pack.

Steps to Duplicate

1.Add the same email to two constituents that are married. The email address should be primary on both records.

2.In an import file, add in a new home email for one of the spouses. New email address must have the same type as the existing primary email on the record. The “Update household email addresses” is not selected in the import

3.Import the file into a batch. See link for settings on the batch and import. Note: the old email with the same type needs to be made inactive (add end date and mark do not email).

4.Open the batch.  Notice that the individuals existing emails were automatically brought into the batch and the update household checkbox was automatically set. On the current primary email, this “household checkbox” is not selected.

5.Commit the batch.

6.Error occurs.
