Error: A receipt cannot be generated - when clicking eReceipt link from notification email

When clicking the eReceipt link from notification emails regarding donations or registrations made through an Online Express Donation or Event form, a blank white page appears with this text at the top left: "A receipt cannot be generated."  The eReceipt does not load.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Open a notification email from an Online Express donation or event registration.  
  2. Click the eReceipt link at the bottom of the email.
