Date and time do not show on event registration form when based on an event with Category of Class

When creating an Event form in Online Express for a Raiser's Edge event that has the category of Class selected, the date and time do not appear on the form or the thank yous.

We have evaluated this issue as a potential defect and we have determined it will notbe addressed in the software in its current state.  In this case, the risks and challenges outweigh the potential benefit of resolving this issue.

We wish we could address each and every issue that we come across, but there are occasions when addressing certain issues would add risk to causing a bigger problem or would put other prioritized initiatives at risk. 

We strive to select the most impactful changes and issues to address with each release to accelerate the rate at which we deliver new features while sustaining the highest level of quality for our customers.

Alternative solution:

Note the schedule and instructor on the Event in Raiser's Edge and change the category to Sporting, for example. The date can be entered in the start date and end date and the Instructor entered in the Coordinator field.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Add a new Event in Raiser's Edge and on the General tab set the Category to Class and enter the Schedule for a single class, where the schedule includes start date and time.
  2. Create a new Event form in Online Express for this event.
  3. When you access the form to register for the event, the date and time are missing from the top of the screen.  These are normally located immediately below the event name
  4. Date and time also missing from the on screen confirmation and thank you e-mail.
