I'm trying to consider an application, but I'm getting an error that an attachment can't be found.
I'm trying to consider an application via the Retrieve and Manage Applications window and I'm receiving an error that an attachment cannot be found. The error message looks like this:
Application [xxx]: Application was not considered successfully. Error: Application [xxx]: Attachment file_name.pdf was not found.
I contacted the applicant and they said they included attachment. How can I fix this and consider the application?
This error message is most commonly associated with an issue encoding special characters in IGAM. Special characters in the file name are removed from the attachment names but retained in the application itself. When GIFTS Online tries to then find the attachment based on the file name in the application, it cannot.
In order to resolve this issue, Microedge Technical Support is needed. When contacting the helpdesk, please provide Microedge Support with the following information:
- The full text of the error message you received - The URL of your GIFTS Online site - The application ID/ record ID/ form ID of the application that you're considering. This is a standard column in the Retrieve and Manage Applications window.
If you receive this error, please provide the above information to the Microedge Helpdesk in order to have this issue resolved.
