Important Note: If you haven't already set up your account, please reach out to bbms@blackbaud.com for assistance in getting started.

Once you have your account set up you should have two sets of credentials: BBPS and BBMS.
  • BBPS stands for Blackbaud Payment Services. It tokenizes credit card data and allows you to charge cards in your database and be PCI compliant; masks and securely stores them so you only see the last 4 digits. All you do with the BBPS credentials is enter them into the Blackbaud software you use that processes payments. It will rarely be needed after that.
  • BBMS stands for Blackbaud Mechant Services. It is your actual credit card processor. BBMS has a website you can log into to review your account and the transactions processed, so you actively use the BBMS username and password. You can have multiple BBMS accounts for reporting purposes or to deposit particular funds into a bank account, since each BBMS account has a separate deposit.
First, we need to add your BBPS credentials:
  1. Log into eTapestry
  2. Click Management > My Organization
  3. Click the Preferences tab
  4. In the Preferences tile, enter your BBPS credentials
    • In the BBPS UserName field, enter the user name you set up for BBPS
    • In the BBPS Password field, enter the password you set up for BBPS
  5. Click Save And got to Personas
Then, we can add your BBMS processor:
  1. From the My Organization account, click the eCommerce tab
  2. Click Add BBMS Processor under Tasks
  3. Choose a reference name. If you have multiple BBMS accounts, choose a name that represents what kind of gifts this account will be used for.
  4. Enter your BBMS User Name and Password. These are the credentials you use to log into the web portal
  5. Select the Currency this account is set up to process
  6. If you plan on processing direct debit (EFT/ACH) mark the Supports EFT box
  7. Click Save under Tasks
