Organization Name Merge Field is Blank in Mail

When producing some mailings in Raiser's Edge, Organization Name is listed as an available field under the Relationships category. Why is the Organization Name merge field blank even though the constituent has organization relationships on their constituent record?
Relationships.Organization Name is intended to include the organization name for contacts of an organization, rather than any organization relationships that an included constituent has on their constituent record. 

The Organization Name field will be populated if:
  • Mail to contacts is selected Step 1 of the Org. Address tab of the mailing. 
  • The organization is included on the General tab of the mailing. 
  • The organization's contact record(s) have the Print organization name with address checkbox marked on their General tabs.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Go to Mail > Follow-up Letters > New.
  2. Go to Fields to include. 
  3. By default, Relationships.Organization Name should be listed in Fields to Export. If not, select it from Available Fields. 
  4. When merging, the field will be blank for many constituents even though they have Organization Relationships on their constituent records.
