New Grading Settings
Prior to the release, the Grading settings were as seen in the following:

The Grading settings now include new/changed setting options:

  • There are 3 new/changed settings that that can be found under onRecord > Settings: Grade plans, Grade plan grades, and Assessment skills.
  • The setting previously known as 'Grade Plans' has since been renamed 'School year setup' and that is now the task that the Grading Manager will access to set up the new grade plans for the school year.
  1. Grade plans
The "new" Grade plans task is the list of ALL grade plans for your school, both standard and assessment types, across all school levels:User-added image
  • New Grade plans to be added are done here by clicking the Add Grade plan button and entering the description and status.
  • Existing Grade plan descriptions and status can be modified by clicking the edit pencil.
  • By managing all Grade plans in this central location, the School year setup (previously known as Grade Plans) now has a dropdown from which to choose the appropriate grade plan.
  • The label of the Grade plan, i.e., 1st Quarter MP, is the link that will display on the teacher's My Day page that will advance them to the Grading page for their classes.
  • By marking the Grade plans 'Inactive' you are only preventing it from being available for selection in the dropdown on the School year setup screen.
NOTE: The same rule applies that when a Grade plan has been used (grades, comments recorded) it cannot be deleted.
  1. Grade plan grades

  • Similar to the new Grade plans task, the Grade plan grades task includes all grades that have been created for standard grade plans only.
  • New Grade plan grades are added here by clicking the Add Grade plan grade button and entering the description and status.
  • Existing Grade plan grade descriptions and status can be modified by clicking the edit pencil.
  • By managing all Grade plan grades in this central location, the Grade Plan Detail of the Grade plan selected in the School year setup now has a dropdown from which to choose the appropriate grade plan grades.
  • By marking the Grade plan grades 'Inactive' you are only preventing it from being available for selection in the Grades/Comments dropdown under Grade Plan Details on the School year setup screen.​

  1. Assessment skills

  • The Assessment skill portion of the Grade plan grades are located under the new task, Assessment skills, for Assessment grading only.
  • New Assessment skills are added here by clicking the Add Assessment skill button and entering the description and status.
  • Existing Assessment skill descriptions and status can be modified by clicking the edit pencil.
  • By managing all Assessment skills in this central location, the Grade Plan Detail of the Grade plan selected in the School year setup now has a dropdown from which to choose the appropriate Assessment skills.
NOTE: The same rule applies that when an Assessment skill has been used it cannot be deleted.
