Users must ensure the data sheet if formatted correctly and using the correct headers and values for each attribute. The following are some of the more common causes of this issue:
  1. You are using the same Attribute Import ID for both attributes. These must be unique for each attribute or they can be left blank if this is a new constituent, or new attributes on an existing constituent.
  2. You are using the wrong headings for Constituent Attribute Description. For example, the Attribute Description should display as “CAttrDesc” instead of the address attribute header sometimes confused “CADAttrDesc”.
  3. Ensure you are using the appropriate extensions when importing multiple values of the same type. For example, the first set can have a ‘00’ extension in the Import>Fields tab, the second attribute set should have a different set such as ‘01’.
  4. If step 1-3 do not resolve, there could be an issue with the formatting of your excel sheet. Try copying and pasting the data without formatting into a new CSV file.

Alternate solution:

Import the additional Constituent Attribute separately using a Constituent>Constituent Attribute import.

Add the additional Constituent Attribute using the Globally Add Records module
