Any client that has a chargeback that is due to EMV Chip has to be challenged first. If the client’s challenge is rejected the client would have to come back to the Chargeback Team (Chargebacks@Blackbaud.com) stating that they suffered a financial loss. Financial loss only applies to ticket and merchandise purchases not donations. The request will then be reviewed internally, and if it falls under the qualifications the request be will approved. 
  • It is important to note that you must first challenge the Chargeback. Once the challenge has been denied, email Chargebacks@blackbaud.com stating that your initial challenge was denied for a swiped EMV Chip card, and you suffered a financial loss.
