You may have left the section ID the same for first term but changed it in the second and that change is not reflecting in the Assignment Center.  Since the Assignment Center allows you to navigate to the start of the school year or the end of the school year without having to change terms or marking periods the system can only display the Section ID from the starting term of that course.  

If you need to have a different section identifier for the second term it is suggested that you apply one of the following to avoid confusion for your students and parents in the Assignment Center:
  • Consider changing all section identifiers to match
  • Consider using a generic section ID such as a number or letter 
  • Consider creating a brand new section of the course with the new identifier and transfer enrollments
