Recurring gift donors are those who have an auto or manually processed gift that they give based on a specific frequency. For example, the donor may give $15 to the organization every month or $500 every quarter. If the gift is on an auto-process schedule, your organization will receive the Auto-Process Report, which indicates whether the transaction processed or if it failed (if you are not receiving this report, but should be, please see How to change who receives the Auto Process Report).
While your organization will receive emails when the recurring donation processes or fails, the database does not send the donor any communication about their gift. If the donor originally submitted their recurring gift information online, they will receive an automatic thank you email if you have configured your online form to send confirmation emails. After this initial installment, though, eTapestry does not send donors any auto-emails when their recurring gift processes or fails. In the event that the donation fails, you will need to contact the donor directly.
