I'm getting an error : Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID when I launch Alta

Whenever I launch Alta, I get an error message that says:

Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {E6E8ECFD-0F0D-4F5A-BD6B-7A86FE0C0B05} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)).

Alta then crashes on me. I'm unable to open the program without receiving this error. How can I resolve this error?
This error message is normally caused by an issue with the MEGIFTSBusiness.dll file, a file that is normally installed and registered during installation. You can resolve this issue two ways:

1. Check C\Windows|sysWOW64 for the megiftsbusiness.dll. If that file exists, rename it and then do a reinstall of the workstation AS AN ADMINISTRATOR. Doing the install as an administrator is important because it will give the install the permissions needed to register the dll file.

2.  If the file doesn't exist, the user should be able to install it by again doing a reinstall of the workstation AS AN ADMINISTRATOR. Again, doing the install as an admin is necessary.

Once you've done the workstation reinstall, the megiftsbusiness.dll should be installed and registered correctly and you should be able to launch Alta. If you're unable to resolve this, please contact the helpdesk at 877.704.3343 or by submitting a case through the PowerME portal at Community.
