There are several possible solutions to this behavior that include, but are not limited to the following:

For ALL Clients
1. The most common culprit is that this GIFTS.INI file is pointing to the wrong location. The GCS Server should have something similar to a workstation setup, so it would authenticate using the same information as anyone using GIFTS would. A quick way to resolve is to take these steps:
-On the ReviewerCONNECT server, rename the existing GIFTS.INI to GIFTS_backup.INI
-Copy a GIFTS.INI file from a workstation that runs GIFTS/GIFTS Alta
-Place the copied GIFTS.INI file in the C:\Windows directory of the ReviewerCONNECT server and test

2. Another possible culprit is that there is another GIFTS.INI on the server where ReviewerCONNECT is installed and must be removed or renamed so there is no conflict. Check C:\Users\<Name of account logged into server>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows to see if another copy of the GIFTS.INI exists

For SQL Clients Only:
1. The encrypted password in the GIFTS.INI file on the server where ReviewerCONNECT is installed must be cleared and the credentials must be replaced with working credentials that are confirmed to work when logging into the GIFTS database on your SQL Server

2. The ODBC on the server where GCS/ReviewerCONNECT is installed is pointing to the wrong SQL server
