When I wish to export data from GIFTS Online via API, I notice that the Address line has a newline (\n) character within - this breaks the Address and causes any transaction I run using this call with third parties to fail. Why does the newline character appear and what can I do to prevent it?
When making API transactions, we encourage the use of the program Postman as we have made API posts with this program and have not yet experienced any issues where a newline character unexpectedly appears in the call. We suspect that, at this time, other programs may be rendering commas or tabs as newline character because the program could be rendering these as delimiters.
