The issue here is often due to the fact that the Contact record you are trying to edit ties to one of your GIFTS Online users. This can be determined if next to the contact's name and details at the top left of the record, there is also a detail that states (GIFTS Online Login AAA) with their user name in place of AAA.

There are two options you can take to move forward:

1. You would have to request that Blackbaud GIFTS Technical Support make the changes for any of your Contacts that have previously had access to your GIFTS system by calling us at 877-704-3343 or creating a case through Case Central.

2. If the user no longer works with GIFTS Online, you may create a new Contact record for the user and input their updated information within the new record, then use that new Contact record moving forward.
