Internal Server Error when trying to add an email to eTapestry with Outlook Integration

When attempting to add an email message with a .msg attachment to eTapestry using the Outlook integration, some users receive an error stating "Internal Server Error (caught exception while handling request: java.lang.NullPointerException)"
These types of attachments cannot be added to contacts through Outlook Integration. As an alternative, the .msg file can be added as an attachment to the contact journal entry after it is created or open the .msg as an email and choose to "Add to eTapestry" through the Add-Ins ribbon.

Steps to Duplicate

1) Open Outlook that has Outlook Integration for eTapestry installed
2) Open an email with a .msg attachment (attach another email to this message)
3) Go to the Add-ins menu
4) Click Send and Add to eTapestry
5) Choose an account and click Save
6) Error message appears "Internal Server Error (caught exception while handling request: java.lang.NullPointerException)"
