Application error when saving Journal Entry Defaults

When attempting to save default values in a Journal Entry we receive an Application Error
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

This only applies to organizations that have the Advanced Security module. It is caused when the Security Group the user is in has a Security Rights Code applied that has been disabled. We can remove the code from the Security Group to resolve the error. After making these changes the user will need to log out and log back in for the rights to refresh.
  1. Click Management
  2. Click Security Groups
  3. Click on the name of the Security Group
  4. Click Security Rights
  5. Unmark the disabled code
  6. Click Save

To view which Security Codes are enabled and disabled:
  1. Click Management
  2. Click System Defined Fields
  3. Click Security Rights
  4. Click Show Disabled Values

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Click Accounts
  2. Click Find an Account
  3. Search for and click on an account
  4. Click Journal
  5. Click Add
  6. Click Contact (or any other journal entry)
  7. Set some values, then click Set as Contact Default
  8. Receive Application Error
