I am trying to select a new contact type for organizations in Acknowledgements, but it’s not saving

When adjusting the Address Processing rules for mailing an organization in Marketing and Communications > Address Processing Options, if adjusting the default [Primary Contact] field the change does not save. This field reverts back to [Primary Contact] instead of updating with the new contact type you have selected to mail.
Our Product Development team has reviewed this issue, its impact in the software, and the availability of an alternative solution. After careful consideration, we have determined that this issue will not be addressed currently in the Altru software. Product Development will be focusing development resources in other existing areas of the product, as well as new feature development. 

You can use the steps below to save the primary contact in a different fiel
  1. From Marketing and Communications, Click Address Processing Options
  2. Click the Address Processing Option you are looking to update, Click Edit
  3. Navigate to the Organizations Tab
  4. In a blank row, select the Contact type you are looking to mail.
  5. Click the gray box to the left of [Contact Primary], Click the Delete button on your keyboard
  6. Save

Steps to Duplicate

  1. From Marketing and Communication, Select Address Processing Options
  2. Click the Address Processing Option you are looking to update, Click Edit
  3. Navigate to the Organizations Tab
  4. Click the drop down arrow in the [Primary Contact] section, Select a new contact type
  5. Click Save
  6. Click the Address Processing Option you just edited, Click Edit
  7. Navigate to the Organizations Tab
  8. See the [Primary Contact] is still showing and did not update to the contact type you chose
