The Update Unmapped Transactions process consistently reports a "Did not finish" status

When running the Update UnmappedTransactions process, the process loads for hours and shows "Did not finish" and "Process terminated unexpectedly". 
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. On the Financials tab click Review Unmapped Transaction Messages
  2. Click Update Unmapped Transactions in the top left corner
  3. Click Start Process
  4. Check any number of boxes. I tried it with only one checked to see if that would work (it didn't)
  5. When you click Start it runs for 10+ hours and doesn't finish.
