After setting up an Event Registration form or Event Registration (Classic) form, you notice there is a timer on Step 2 of the registration process that limits the registrant to 10 minutes to complete the registration before it exits the transaction.
How do you disable the timer?
The timer shows up when the Event Capacity option is enabled for an event on an event registration form.
Event Capacity limits the total number of registrations that can be purchased for a specific event and implements the timer so that registrations are not held up in the shopping cart if the registration is aborted.
This makes those registrations available for other potential participants to register as quickly as possible.
*NOTE: The timer is hardcoded and the time allotted cannot be extended or reduced.
To disable the timer, you will need to turn off Event capacity for the event on the event registration form.
If using the "Event Registration" Form:
1. Edit the Event Registration form page 2. Click the wheel icon for the event form part > Click Edit 3. Click the Edit link for the event in the Add Events section 4. UnMark the checkbox for Use event capacity 5. Click Save for the event editor 6. Click Save
If using the "Event Registration (Classic)" Form:
1. Edit the classic event registration form (Similar to steps 1-2 above) 2. Select the Event from the drop down menu in the Events from the Raiser's Edge section 3. UnMark the checkbox for Restrict registrations to capacity in the Event Options section 4. Click Save
