Altru does not have a Smart Field or field in query that will specifically give us the most recent visit date of Constituents. We have two options for pulling this information. 

Option 1: Create a Constituent Revenue Application Dates Smart Field
A Constituent Revenue Application Dates Smart Field will use Revenue Date in their calculation rather than the actual visit date. This means that if a Constituent purchased a ticket in Advance for a future event, the date populating the smart field would be based on the date of purchase and not the event date. This field will also only populate for the Constituent Record that the Revenue Transaction took place on. 
  1. From Administration, Click Smart Fields
  2. Click Add, Select Constituent Revenue Application Dates
  3. Name the Smart Field
  4. On the Parameters tab change the Value to return to Latest Application Date
  5. Under Revenue Types
    1. Mark Event Registrations
    2. Mark Ticket
  6. Under Transaction type/Application
    1. Under Order, Mark Event Registration
    2. Under Payment, Mark Admission, Event Registration, Order
  7. Enter the Time frame if you are only looking at a specific time
  8. Click Save
  9. Process the Smart Field
Option 2: Create a Constituent Query
A Constituent Query, will allow us to use the Event date to determine the most recent visit date for the constituent. This query will only consider Special Events and Preregistered Programs. It will not take into account tickets purchased for a Daily Admission Programs or Scheduled Programs that do not require registration for these constituents the field will be blank. 
  1. From Analysis, Information Library
  2. Click Add an Ad-hoc Query and choose the Source view of Constituents
  3. For Preregistered Programs:
    1. On the left expand Registrants click Program Events, From the middle drag Start Date to Results fields to display
    2. Click this line in Results fields to display, and use the Summarize Tool (looks like an E) to Max this field
  4. For Special Events:
    1. On the left expand Registrants, click Event, From the middle drag Event Start Date to Results fields to display
    2. Click this link in Results fields to display, and use the Summarize Tool (looks like an E) to Max this field
  5. Preview Results
  6. On the Set Save Options Tab, Name the Query
  7. Save and Close
