Newly created Sphere users unable to log into Sphere

After creating a new Sphere user, you are unable to log in or are receiving an error that the password is invalid. 
Chat with Support and reference the KB. Please provide the username only.

Steps to Duplicate

1. Created a new sphere user
2. Log into www.kintera.com or www.kinterainc.com
3. Enter new username and password
4. Click Login or press Enter
Result: The page refreshes and it loops back to the login screen. Sometimes you get an error message and sometimes there is no error message. The same behavior occurs if you try to log in with the same login over and over again.
