Error: Connection to Luminate Online could not be established. Unable to connect to the remote server

The RELO integration is a two-way synchronization between The Raiser's Edge and Luminate Online.  However, some users may report the following error when attempting to merge duplicate constituents in the Raiser's Edge, or clicking the Test Connection button, located in Options in the Luminate Online plugin for the Raiser's Edge:

Connection to Luminate Online could not be established.  Unable to connect to the remote server.
This issue was resolved after updating the Luminate site URL in the RELO plugin. Users should work through the Answer section of this article to fix the error.
