The data entered on the Core alumni record will dictate what data syncs to the linked Raiser's Edge record, Education button (the Primary alumni information).

Assigning an Alumni Affiliation 

If the alumni role is added in Core by assigning an alumni affiliation, the primary education record will sync, and the following fields will be populated:
  • School Name
  • Class of
  • Status
Note: While working in Connect RE, if the alumni record in Connect RE is matched/linked to an existing Raiser's Edge record and the Raiser's Edge record has existing data stored in their education relationship record, mapped fields from Core will overwrite the data in Raiser's Edge. Mapped fields such as Date entered and Date graduated will be deleted.This is because these fields are mapped to enrollment data, which will be blank in Core.

Entering Student Enrollment 

If the alumni role is added in Core by enrolling the alumnus, the primary education record will sync, and the following fields will be populated in Raiser's Edge:
  • School Name
  • Class of 
  • Date entered (based on the Enroll Date in Core)
  • Date graduated (based on the Depart Date in Core)
  • Status
Note: While working in Connect RE, if matching/linking to an existing Raiser's Edge record, and any of these fields on the primary education record are already populated, Connect RE will overwrite the field(s) with the data from Core. If the class has already been graduated in Core, the alumnus will need to be withdrawn in order to add a Depart Date. Otherwise, the Date graduated field will be deleted.  

Entering Education Information

If the alumni information is entered in the Education section of the Core profile, it will not sync to the primary education record in Raiser's Edge.  Instead, a regular education record will be created on the Relationships tab of the constituent record in RE.
