Files locked after exporting in csv format to Excel

When exporting to .csv format and then opening the exported file using excel you may receive a message "File In Use. File name.csv is locked for editing by 'another user' Open 'Read-Only' or click 'Notify' to open read-only and receive notification when the document is no longer in use."
  1. Do not rename the first column "ID" in all caps.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Rename the first column of the export "ID" with both letters capitalized
  2. Export the file to csv format
  3. Open the file from it's saved location
  4. Receive the message "The file format and extension of "File Name" don't match. The file coule be corrupted or unsafe. Unless you trust it's source, don't open it. Do you want to open it anyway? (He says he has always gotten this message)
  5. Click Yes to open anyway
  6. Receive message "Excel has detected that "File Name" is a SYLK file, but cannot load it. Either the file has errors or it is not a SYLK file format. Click Ok to try to open the file in a different format.
  7. Click Ok
  8. Receive message "File In Use. File name.csv is locked for editing by 'another user' Open 'Read-Only' or click 'Notify' to open read-only and receive notification when the document is no longer in use."
