How to report on donation made through Social Media (i.e. facebook and twitter)?

In a Kinterathon, you can use social media such as Facebook and Twitter to spread the word and get more people to donate to your fundraising website. This article provide steps on how to run a report to show information on donation made as a result of clicking a link to your fundraising page which was shared on facebook or twitter.

1. Navigate to Communities > Special Events > Friends Asking Friends > Kintera Thon
2. Hover over event and click Reports
3. Select People: Participant Detail and click Run Report
4. Click Next and select fields related to facebook and twitter
5. Click No run report immediately
6. Click Run Report

Notes: The system will track donations if made immediately after clicking on the link. If the donor browse around and visit other pages on your fundraising website before making the donation, the tracking mechanism expired and will not count the donation toward facebook or twitter.
