This type of failure can happen if there was a change in your IATS passwords or if IATS was down/performing maintenance at the time the transaction was attempted.

First, verify your IATS passwords in eTapestry.
  1. Click Management > My Organization
  2.  Navigate to the eCommerce tab
  3. Click your IATS processor
  4. Verify that the Online and Offline passwords are correct for your agent key. Your Online Agent Key ends in 99 and your Offline Agent Key ends in 01. If these are incorrect, make the appropriate changes and click Save. If you aren't sure how to verify these passwords, contact IATS (contact info below).
  5. Attempt the transaction again
If the donation failure happened during auto processing, you can retry the transaction. How to reprocess a failed auto processing transaction.

If your password had not changed, you can still attempt to retry the failed auto processing transaction. If it goes through successfully, this likely means that IATS was down or had maintenance at the time of auto processing. Contact IATS to confirm.
