Fraud charges on credit card after making a Sphere transaction

A cardholder sees multiple fraud charges on their bank statement a couple days after making a Sphere transaction.
The timing of the fraud charges (a day or couple days after a sphere transaction) would make Sphere a suspect in such fraud activities. If a card was compromised, it is typically caused by a security breach. Sphere monitor this type of activities and will notify the company and our clients when there is a security breach. Please bear in mind that these activities can be originated from a key tracker or virus on the card holder's computer that could track keystrokes. Most frauds are a result of hackers getting cardholder's credit card information directly from their bank or credit card institution. There has to be a proof that Blackbaud Sphere is responsible to warrant any further investigation.
