Error: Division Code or Sub-Type is Blank for Fund. Accounts not Created for Fund when Running Auto-Build General Ledger Accounts for a New Dummy Fund

I am creating a new dummy fund for which I just assigned a Fund Class and nothing else since nothing else is needed. When I run the Auto-Build GL Accounts tool the Message,  Division Code or Sub-Type is Blank for Fund. Accounts not Created for Fund occurs. How can I fix this so I can create my GL accounts for my dummy fund?

There is a system setting that will allow GL records to be created when Division, Type or sub-type are blank. Use caution when using this tool, you would want to make sure no other users are in FIMS and trying to create GL accounts at the same time since you would not want any other funds to be created without those, just the dummy fund.

To allow fund to be created when there are blank codes, do the following:

1. Go to Tools\System Utilities\System Options\Fund\Allow_Blank_Codes.
2. Choose Yes as the value, then click apply and ok.
3. Then auto-build the GL accounts just for that dummy fund
4. When complete, go back and change that system option setting back to the way it was so that other funds are not inadvertently created with blank codes.
