Duplicate designations cannot be specified for the same application type

You may be experiencing an issue in batch when two tributes are added to the same batch row. After the addition of the tributes, the error message “Duplicate designations cannot be specified for the same application type” is shown. Another possible issue along with this error is that if the error message isn’t resolved and the batch is committed, an empty exception batch is created and the transaction is lost.
We are currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future service pack

Steps to Duplicate

Setup required:
1. Appeal record with default designation.
2. Two tribute records -  one with the same default designation as the appeal, the second with no default designation

Steps to replicate
1. Create a new revenue batch. Enter a new transaction using the appeal you setup. Application type needs to be donation.
2. Add two tribute records in batch, splitting the amount of the donation between the two.
3. Add a recognition credit using the credit type = Third party giving
4. Go to Apply within the batch screen and note that there are two applications, both with application type of donation and both with the same designation.
5. Upon validating, an error message appears “Duplicate designations cannot be specified for the same application type”
6. Additionally, all recognition credits are also removed from the batch row, even the donor recognition credit type.
