Merged constituents create additional registrations on special events

While viewing your Fundraising event you may notice that the number of reported constituents on the event is incorrect. After reviewing your registrations you may notice that some registrations records have a section called additional registrations after two constituents that populated the registration were merged.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information. In the meantime, if you notice any registrations with this issue you can change the additional registrations to unnamed guest to correct your registration count.
  1. Click Events > Event Search
  2. Search for and select the event
  3. Click on the registrations tab > click on the name of the affected constituent
  4. Click edit > change the guest to unnamed guest
  5. Click save

Steps to Duplicate

You must first have a constituent and a duplicate constituent in your database and a Fundraising event created. You can add a duplicate constituent by clicking Constituents > add an individual


Add the Constituents to an Event registration
  1. Click Events > Event Search
  2. Search for and select a special event
  3. Click on the registrations tab > click add
  4. Add the Target Constituent as the registrant
  5. Select a registration option that has a count of 2 or more
  6. Add the target and source constituents as registrations in 2 of the registration spots
  7. Click save
Merge the Constituents 
  1. Click Constituents > Duplicates > Merge two constituents
  2. Search for and select the target and source constituents
  3. Mark Delete Source Constituent
  4. Click save
Check the Registration
  1. Click Events > Event search
  2. Search for and select the event
  3. Click on the Registrations tab > click on the name of the target constituent
  4. Notice that the registration now has a section called additional registrations
