The Citrix Receiver is a third party component that is installed on each workstation in order to let you remotely access your applications in Blackbaud Hosting Services. When a new version of Citrix is released, some users may notice that they are prompted to install a new version when one is released. Users do not need to update Citrix receiver each time a new plugin version is released, and may wish to prevent this update from occurring.
How do I turn off Citrix Auto Update? How do I prevent Citrix from updating automatically? How do I stop Citrix from updating? How do I silence the Citrix Receiver notification that one or more updates are available?
1. Right click the Citrix Receiver for Windows icon in the notification area of the task bar. 2. Select Advanced Preferences. 3. Select Auto Update link. 4. Select No, don't notify me, to disable this feature and prevent Citrix from automatically prompting for updates when new versions are released. Note: If your Organization uses a Group Policy to automatically update this version of the Citrix Receiver, the Administrator who has access to the Group Policy would need to make the modifications.
