The Citrix Receiver is a third party component that is installed on each workstation in order to let you remotely access your applications in Blackbaud Hosting Services. When a new version of Citrix is released, some users may notice that this version is automatically updated. Users do not need to update Citrix receiver each time a new plugin version is released, and may wish to prevent this update from occurring automatically.
How do I turn off Citrix Auto Update? How do I prevent Citrix from updating automatically? How do I stop Citrix from updating? How do I silence the Citrix Receiver notification that one or more updates are available?
1. Right click the Citrix Receiver for Windows icon in the notification area of the taskbar 2. Select Advanced Preferences 3. Select Auto Update link 4. Select Yes, notify me
This will prompt users to accept an update when one is available for Citrix. If your Organization uses a Group Policy, then the Administrator who has access to the Group Policy would need to make the modifications.
