How are the Numbers on the Grantmaking Dashboard Calculated for Snapshot, Profile Posted Grants and Application Trends?

When comparing for example the Snapshot report on the left side of the Grantmaking Dashboard using the Posted Grants filter the Grant Amount does not match the Granted Amount for the Year in the Application Trends section, why is this? How are these numbers calculated?
  1. Snapshot: This section can filter on Posted Grants, Posted Scholarships or both. It does not include any interfunds in any of the filters. It produces figures for the last 5 years for the filter selected; Posted Grants, Posted Scholarships or Both
  2. Profile-Posted Grants: This section reports on the current fiscal year, month or quarter and does not include scholarships or interfunds.
  3. Application Trends: This section reports on the last 5 years if Year is selected as the filter. If Month is selected, it will report on the last 5 months of the current year. If Quarter is selected it will report on the current quarter from last year to this year. For example, if now is currently Q4 2017, then the results for quarter will be Q4 2016-Q4 2017. These figures do not include interfunds, but do include both scholarships and Grants.

In order to see matching figures between the Snapshot section and the Application Trends section, then for the Snapshot report the Both filter would need to be selected in order to include both grants and scholarships since the Application Trends section include both grants and scholarships in its calculations.
