To create an item for purchase within Buy Now Give Now (BNGN) portal:
  1. In the applicable school year, click on Manage Items under Buy Now Give Now at the bottom of the page
  2. Click on Add New Item
  3. Select either Buy Now or Give Now - depending on the type of item to be purchased
  4. Enter Item Name (General Ledger ID and Description are optional fields)
  5. Upload an image for your item
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click on Off to add sales tax to the item (if applicable) - Enter Sales Tax Rate
  8. Select either Fixed Amount and enter the cost or Variable Amount if the family can pay what they want.
  9. Select either Limited quantity, enter the amount available and the Buy Now Limit - or Unlimited
  10. Click Next
  11. Select the additional information you want to include - Student Name and/or Show School Family ID field and/or Require Agreement
  12. Click Next.
  13. On the additional settings page you can set the requirements the purchaser must give and set an agreement text if applicable.
  14. Click Next.
  15. Review the item details and click Save or click Previous to change any information
Next, you will need to create a group to create a URL for your item. You can add your new item to an existing group or you can create a new group.
 
To add the item to an existing group:
  1. Click on Manage Groups under Buy Now Give Now
  2. Click on Edit to the right of the existing group name
  3. Locate the new item name from the box on the left, then click Add
  4. Scroll down and click Save
  5. This item will automatically be added to the group on your web page.
To add the new item to a new group:
  1. Click on Manage Groups under Buy Now Give Now
  2. Click on Create New Group
  3. Enter a Group Name
  4. Locate your item from the box on the left, then click Add
  5. Enable Invite Friends and Family? Click Off to turn on
  6. Enter any email addresses for a blind copy of the payment confirmation page
  7. Click Save
  8. Click on Buy Now for the new group just added to view the live link
  9. You can copy and paste the URL into your web page.
