This occurs when the new expiration date is before the latest transaction or expiration date. To resolve:
  1. Go to the constituent record
  2. Click on the Memberships tab
  3. Click the name of the membership program you want to use
  4. Under Recent membership transactions find the latest transaction
  5. Use the dropdown arrow and select Edit
  6. Change the expiration or transaction date to a date earlier than your new expiration dateUser-added image
  7. Click Save
  8. Go to Other Tasks > Edit Membership Details
  9. Enter your correct expiration date
