Error: The User Profile Service Failed the Login User Profile Cannot be Loaded Windows Server 2008R2 Data Center when Launching FIMS from HostNet

When launching FIMS from HostNet the error, "Error: The User Profile Service Failed the Login User Profile Cannot be Loaded Windows Server 2008R2 Data Center" occurs.

This issue has been resolved.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. The user is able to sign into Host*Net without any issue
  2. Once the user selects the FIMS icon the launch.ica file downloads as normal
  3. Once the user opens the download the “Start” window opens and the green bar either starts to load and stops, or doesn’t start loading at all
  4. After a few moments the window times out and either disappears or gives one of the following errors:
    1. “The User Profile Service failed the login User profile cannot be loaded Windows Server 2008R2 Data Center”  
    2. A “More Information” button comes up, and if they click on the button the error reads “CONNECTION ESTABLISHED; CAPABILITIES BEING NEGOTIATED”
  5. The application fails to open and then goes away
