Adding historical Consent overwrites current Solicit Codes

In The Raiser's Edge Patch 8 you have the ability to track consent for GDPR. You may notice that adding historical consent will overwrite the current solicit codes.

This is resolved in patch 10, planned for release in March-April 2018.

In previous versions, add consent in a chronological order so that the solicit codes reflect the latest and most recent consent status.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Install Patch 8
  2. Open a constituent record
  3. Click on consent button
  4. Choose a channel/response and date of consent (as of today)
  5. Save this record
  6. Observe solicit code is updated
  7. Add consent again but this time choose a different response with a historical date
  8. Note that the solicit code is updated
