Project activity report becomes unresponsive when running the report for this fiscal year

Users may experience an issue where the project activity report becomes unresponsive when running the report for this fiscal year; however, running the report for last fiscal year runs successfully in minutes.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Steps to Duplicate

1. In Reports, Project Reports
2. Select Projects Activity Report and click new or open saved report 
3. On General tab: run Report type by Summary, include projects activity in this date - this fiscal year (07/01/17 to 6/30/18)
exclude projects with zero beginning balance and no activity
4. On Filter tab: filter by one fund at a time (funde 2) and include Not Yet Posted transactions
5. Click Preview
The report does not preview if we click anywhere else we get a message that the report/FE not responding.  Running the report for last fiscal year completes in minutes.
