"The sum of the gift fee distribution amounts do not equal the total gift fees for this transaction" - When adjusting posted payments with gift fees

With gift fees enabled, you might notice that changing the designation on a posted payment results in the error, "The sum of the gift fee distribution amounts do not equal the total gift fees for this transaction" displaying at the top of the transaction.
We are currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future service pack.

While it won't fix records that already have this problem, changing the designation on posted transactions using a Revenue Update Batch with the field "Update gift fees" checked, does prevent the issue from happening.

Steps to Duplicate

1) Go to Revenue > Default gift fees > Enable the application of gift fees to revenue
2) Apply fees to the following application types: Donation
3) Set the gift fee 1% or higher
4) Add a Payment with the application type of donation
5) Post the transaction to the general ledger
6) Edit the posted transaction > change the designation
7) Notice that the Transaction summary contains the notification, "The sum of the gift fee distribution amounts do not equal the total gift fees for this transaction"
