The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint "FK_RECURRINGGIFTAMENDMENT_CONSTITUENTACCOUNTID" - When attempting to delete financial accounts that have been previously tied to a gift

When attempting to delete a financial account from a constituent record, one may encounter the following error:

The DELETE statement conflicted with the REFERENCE constraint "FK_RECURRINGGIFTAMENDMENT_CONSTITUENTACCOUNTID". The conflict occurred in database "[database]", table "dbo.RECURRINGGIFTAMENDMENT", column 'CONSTITUENTACCOUNTID'. The statement has been terminated.
Download and install the latest patch, which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.

Alternative method to delete account: 
Delete the recurring gift that the financial account was attached to and then you can delete the Financial Account.

Steps to Duplicate

1.   On a constituent record, navigate to Revenue > Accounts tab.
2.   On the Accounts tab, click Add. The Add financial account window pops up.
3.   In the Add financial account window, fill in the required info and click Save.
4.   Back on the constituent record, click Add recurring gift. The Add a recurring gift window pops up.
5.   In the Add a recurring gift window, fill in all required info, but use "Direct debit - pay installments automatically" for the Payment method. The Account field appears. 
6.   In the Account field, select the financial account you created in steps 1 - 3 above. Click Save.
7.   On the recurring gift record created in steps 4 - 6, find Payment method listed in the Transaction summary area. Click Edit. The Edit payment method details window pops up.
8.   In the Edit payment method details window, change the Payment method field to Cash (or any other method), and click Save.
9.   Navigate back to the Accounts tab on the constituent's record. Expand the menu for the account created in steps 1 - 3 and click Delete. Click Yes in the confirmation window. Encounter error:
